Isabel Maria da Cruz Baptista Matias
Isabel Matias. PhD in Architecture by University of Valladolid, Graduates in Architecture at FAUTL (1989). In concluded at FCT/UNL a Master in Planning and Environmental Planning by FCT/UNL (1998).
Currently she is a researcher of Arnaldo Araújo Research Center (CEAA/ESAP) – FCT uRD 4041 and teaches Town-Planning at University Lusófona – Porto. Graduates in Architecture at FAUTL (1989).
With the architect Adriano Borges, Isabel Matias sets up her own office (1994), Vastus, Gabinete de Projectos, Planeamento e Ambiente, Ldª. which coordinate Landscape Planning, Urban Planning and Environment projects. In the same year, starts academic work.
She was teacher of Urban Design at ESAP – Escola Superior Artística do Porto [Oporto University School of Arts] and also has been lecturing Sustainability and Local Agenda 21 in post-graduate courses at Universidade Católica do Porto/Escola Superior de Biotecnologia (Oporto’s Catholic University /Higher School of Biotechnology).
