Short Curriculum

Jorge Cunha Pimentel has a degree in Fine Arts - Painting from FBAUP, in 1989, and a PhD in Architecture from Universidad de Valladolid, in 2014, with the thesis Obra Pública by Rogério de Azevedo.  The years of SPN / SNI and DGEMN.  He has been a teacher at ESAP since 1987. He was Director of the Higher Drawing Course and coordinator of the degree in Fine Arts.  He is Director of the Visual Arts Department at ESAP.  He has been developing research in the fields of the History of architecture and drawing in architecture, with emphasis on the participation in two ESAP projects already completed or in the process of being concluded, around the theme Drawing Architecture (Drawing of Architecture in the Pre-Digital 20th Century,  2014-2015; Graphic Representation in Architecture in the Pre-Digital 20th Century, 2015-2016), as responsible researcher;  and participation in the FCT project already completed Photography, Modern Architecture and the “Escola do Porto”.  Interpretations around the Teófilo Rego Archive (2013-2015), as a member of the research team.  He is currently responsible researcher for the ESAP project The representation of the human figure as a conceptual object.  Dialogues with space and design (2020)
