Alba Zarza-Arribas. Bachelor's Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture (2015), Master in Architecture (2016), University Specialist in History and Aesthetics of Cinematography (2020) and PhD in Architecture (2023) by the University of Valladolid (Spain).
Since 2023 she is an associate member of the Instituto Universitario de Urbanística | IUU at the University of Valladolid and, since 2018, she has been a researcher at the Arnaldo Araújo Study Center | CEAA (FCT RDu 4041, Portugal), part of the Research Groups 'Architecture Studies' and 'Cinema Studies', where she has participated in several CEAA/ESAP projects since 2021 and collaborated in the European transnational collaborative project MODSCAPES | Modernist Reinvention of Rural Landscapes (HERA.15.097) between 2017 and 2019.
Between 2018 e 2022 she developed her PhD in Architecture through a FCT PhD grant (SFRH/BD/141720/2018) developed at the Department of Architectural Theory and Projects of the University of Valladolid and the CEAA. Later, she has carried out a research stay at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto.
Her research focuses on the relationship between architecture and cinema, mainly in the representation of housing in the Iberian Peninsula during the central decades of the twentieth century. In this field, she has presented his work at national and international conferences and has published several book chapters and journal articles.
