This project stems from the lack of problematization of the phenomenon of the gap between Portuguese cinema and its audience. In our view, the very notion of film literacy is fundamental to this context, as it is articulated with the promotion of (national) cinematic creation along with strategies to approach young audiences. It is therefore necessary to examine the various factors of this distancing, heightening the multiplicity of discourses and aesthetics capable of transforming the habits of cinephilia.
