Art direction presupposes a primordial, complex, and extremely polysemic relationship with the inherently broader concept of “space”. Art direction becomes the main vector of artistic inscription to space, regardless of its morphology or original context. Despite its affiliation to film studies, the team responsible for this proposal has been developing interdisciplinary work, namely the various processes of inter-artistic creation. By summoning different fields of knowledge in its approach, we highlight the absolute need to dislodge its investigative scope to the intermediality field, complexifying the very meaning of cinema through the problematization of pre-formed categories and different configurations in the dispositifs (Deleuze, 1996).
